Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: 04/04/2026

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains your rights and our procedures regarding returns, refunds, and order cancellations when you purchase from www.artcrafture.com (the 'Website'). This policy complies with the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and the Finnish Consumer Protection Act.

1. YOUR RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL (EU CONSUMERS)
1.1 14-Day Withdrawal Period

In accordance with EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and the Finnish Consumer Protection Act, if you are a consumer based in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within

14 CALENDAR DAYS

from the date you receive the artwork, without providing a reason and without incurring any costs other than the direct cost of returning the goods.

1.2 How to Exercise Your Right of Withdrawal

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw by sending a clear statement to:

Your withdrawal notice should include:

  • Your name and contact information
  • Order number
  • Date of purchase
  • Description of the item(s) you wish to return
  • Statement that you are exercising your right of withdrawal

Model Withdrawal Form: While not mandatory, you may use the EU Model Withdrawal Form available on our website or the European Commission website to make your withdrawal declaration clear and consistent.

1.3 Deadline for Withdrawal Notice

To meet the 14-day withdrawal deadline, you must send your withdrawal notice

BEFORE the 14-day period expires. You do not need to return the goods before the deadline, but you must inform us of your intention to withdraw.

2. EXCEPTIONS TO RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

Important: The right of withdrawal does NOT apply to the following categories of products and services:

2.1 Custom and Commissioned Artworks

Artworks that are made to your specifications or clearly personalized, including:

  • Commissioned paintings created from your reference photos
  • Custom artworks with specific dimensions, colors, or themes requested by you
  • Personalized crafts or artworks bearing your name, initials, or custom text

Legal Basis: EU Consumer Rights Directive Article 16(c) - goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalized.

2.2 Event Tickets and Workshop Registrations

Tickets for cultural events, workshops, exhibitions, or time-sensitive activities cannot be refunded after purchase unless the event is cancelled by Artcrafture.

Legal Basis: EU Consumer Rights Directive Article 16(l) - services for leisure activities provided on a specific date.

2.3 Sealed Goods Unsealed After Delivery

If an artwork or product is sealed for hygiene or protection reasons and you have unsealed it after delivery, the right of withdrawal does not apply.

Legal Basis: EU Consumer Rights Directive Article 16(e).

3. RETURN PROCESS
3.1 When to Return the Goods

You must send back the goods without undue delay and in any event not later than

14 DAYS

from the day you informed us of your withdrawal. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the 14-day period has expired.

3.3 Return Shipping Costs

You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods unless:

  • The item is defective or damaged
  • We sent you the wrong item
  • The item does not match the description on our Website

In the above cases, we will cover return shipping costs. Please contact us before returning the item to receive instructions and a prepaid return label if applicable.

3.4 Condition of Returned Goods

To be eligible for a refund, returned goods must be:

  • Unused and in the same condition as received: The artwork should not have been hung, displayed, or otherwise used
  • In original packaging: Returned with all original packaging materials, protective wrapping, and documentation
  • Complete: All parts, accessories, frames, certificates of authenticity, and documentation included

Important: You are liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods. If the artwork is returned in a condition that is not suitable for resale, we may deduct a depreciation charge from your refund.

3.5 Packaging for Return

Please package the artwork securely for return shipping. We recommend using the original packaging if possible. If you no longer have the original packaging, use appropriate protective materials (bubble wrap, foam, sturdy box) to prevent damage during transit. Include your order number inside the package.

4. REFUND PROCESS
4.1 When Refunds Are Processed

We will process your refund within

14 DAYS

from the day we receive the returned goods or from the day you provide evidence that you have sent back the goods, whichever is earliest.

4.2 Refund Method

Refunds will be issued using the same payment method you used for the original purchase, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. You will not incur any fees as a result of the refund.

Refund processing times by payment method:

  • Credit/Debit Cards: 3-10 business days (depending on your card issuer)
  • Bank Transfer: 2-5 business days
  • Mobile Payment (MobilePay, Pivo): 1-3 business days
  • Klarna: Processed through Klarna's system (contact Klarna for timing)
4.3 Refund Amount

Your refund will include:

  • The full price of the artwork (including VAT)
  • Standard delivery charges (if applicable)

Your refund will NOT include:

  • Express or premium delivery charges (you will receive a refund for standard delivery cost only)
  • Return shipping costs (unless the return is due to our error or a defective item)
  • Any depreciation charge if the item's value has diminished due to excessive handling
4.4 Delayed Refunds

If you have not received your refund within the expected timeframe, please:

  • Check your bank account or credit card statement again
  • Contact your bank or card issuer (processing times may vary)
  • Contact us at hello@artcrafture.com if the issue persists
5. CANCELLING YOUR ORDER (BEFORE SHIPMENT)
5.1 Cancellation by Customer

You may cancel your order at any time before the artwork has been shipped. To cancel, please contact us immediately at hello@artcrafture.com with your order number.

Cancellation Conditions:

  • Before Processing: Full refund if cancelled before order processing begins
  • During Processing: Full refund if we can stop processing in time
  • After Shipment: Cancellation not possible; standard return/refund procedure applies
  • Custom/Commissioned Work: See Section 6 below
5.2 Cancellation by Artcrafture

We may cancel your order in the following circumstances:

  • The artwork is no longer available
  • Pricing or product information error
  • Payment authorization failure
  • Suspected fraudulent activity
  • Force majeure events (natural disasters, transportation disruptions, etc.)

If we cancel your order, you will receive a full refund of any payment made. We will notify you by email as soon as possible.

6. CUSTOM AND COMMISSIONED ARTWORKS
6.1 Cancellation Before Work Begins

If you wish to cancel a commissioned or custom artwork order before the artist has begun work, you may receive a full refund minus any non-refundable deposit (if specified in your commission agreement).

6.2 Cancellation After Work Has Begun

Once the artist has begun work on your commissioned artwork:

  • Partial Cancellation Fee: You will be charged for work completed up to the cancellation point, plus materials costs
  • No Refund After 50% Completion: If the artwork is more than 50% complete, no refund will be provided
6.3 Changes to Commission Specifications

Minor changes to commission specifications may be accommodated at the artist's discretion. Major changes after work has begun may result in additional charges or cancellation fees.

6.4 Right of Withdrawal Does Not Apply

Important: The 14-day right of withdrawal does NOT apply to commissioned or custom artworks made to your specifications. By placing a commission order, you acknowledge and agree to waive your right of withdrawal.

7. DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE ITEMS
7.1 Reporting Damage or Defects

If you receive an artwork that is damaged, defective, or does not match the description on our Website, you must notify us within

48 HOURS

of delivery by contacting us at hello@artcrafture.com

Please provide:

  • Order number
  • Clear photographs of the damage or defect
  • Photographs of the packaging (if damaged during shipping)
  • Detailed description of the issue
7.2 Resolution Options

For damaged or defective items, we will offer one of the following solutions:

  • Replacement: We will send you a replacement artwork at no additional cost (subject to availability)
  • Repair: For minor damage, we may arrange professional repair
  • Full Refund: Complete refund including original shipping costs
7.3 Return Shipping for Damaged/Defective Items

We will cover all return shipping costs for damaged or defective items. We will provide you with a prepaid return label or arrange for collection of the item.

8. WRONG ITEM SENT

If you receive an incorrect item (different from what you ordered), please contact us immediately at hello@artcrafture.com. We will arrange for the correct item to be sent to you at no additional cost and will cover all return shipping costs for the incorrect item. You will receive either:

  • The correct item (if available)
  • A full refund (if the correct item is not available)
9. RENTAL CANCELLATIONS (FINLAND ONLY)
9.1 Cancellation by Renter

Rental cancellation fees:

  • More than 7 days before rental start date: Full refund
  • 3-7 days before rental start date: 50% refund
  • Less than 3 days before rental start date: No refund
9.2 Early Return of Rental

If you return a rented artwork before the end of the rental period, no refund will be provided for the unused rental time. The full rental fee for the agreed period remains due.

9.3 Cancellation by Artcrafture

If we must cancel your rental reservation (due to artwork unavailability or damage), you will receive a full refund of all rental fees and security deposit.

10. EVENT AND WORKSHOP CANCELLATIONS
10.1 Cancellation by Participant

Event/workshop ticket cancellation fees:

  • More than 14 days before event date: Full refund minus 10% administrative fee
  • 7-14 days before event date: 50% refund
  • Less than 7 days before event date: No refund
10.2 Ticket Transfers

You may transfer your ticket to another person by notifying us at least 48 hours before the event with the new attendee's name and contact information. No fee applies for ticket transfers.

10.3 Cancellation by Artcrafture

If we cancel an event or workshop, all participants will receive a full refund of ticket prices. We are not liable for any travel, accommodation, or other expenses incurred by participants.

10.4 Event Changes

We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to event schedules, speakers, or content. Minor changes do not entitle participants to a refund. If there are major changes, we will offer participants the option to attend the modified event or receive a full refund.

11. NON-REFUNDABLE ITEMS AND SERVICES

The following are NOT eligible for refund:

  • Gift cards and vouchers (except as required by law)
  • Membership fees for artist memberships (except within the first 14 days if no services have been used)
  • Shipping costs for returned items (unless return is due to our error or defective item)
  • Items returned after the 14-day withdrawal period (except for defective items under warranty)
12. EXCHANGE POLICY

We do not offer direct exchanges. If you wish to exchange an artwork for a different one, please follow the return and refund process outlined in this policy, then place a new order for the desired item.

13. INTERNATIONAL RETURNS

For returns from outside Finland:

  • Follow the same return process as outlined above
  • You are responsible for return shipping costs and any customs duties/fees
  • Mark packages as 'Returned Goods' to avoid additional import duties
  • We recommend using tracked and insured shipping methods

Note: We cannot refund customs duties, import taxes, or fees paid at the time of original delivery. These are the responsibility of the buyer.

14. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

If you have a complaint about a refund or cancellation, please first contact us at hello@artcrafture.com. We will do our best to resolve the issue amicably.
